Iron Heart Slubby Heavy Flannel Check Work Overshirt - Brown

Substantial, warm and windproof—Iron Heart's 12oz slubby heavy flannel (SHF) shirts share all the same characteristics that their signature ultra heavy flannels are renowned for. However, as the fabric is woven using slub yarn cotton, this pronounces the texture and creates a much more uneven hand when compared to their traditional flannels. While the face of the fabric is packed full of character and rugged charm, they still double brush the reverse to ensure a very soft, cosy flannel shirt.

Designed as an overshirt, this cut is an ideal winter layering piece, worn either as an outer or mid layer. Like Iron Heart's traditional work shirt, the cut includes classic patch chest pockets (complete with a pen holder) and button fastenings throughout. Where it differs is in its looser fit, straight hem, and split side-seam gussets, which are more characteristic of the mechanic shirt cut. Wear true to size for layering or a casual relaxed fit, or size down for a more fitted silhouette.
